Allow Required Device Permissions

AblePath may request access to device features such as camera, location, and notifications. These permissions support visit verification, photo verification, GPS mileage, and workflow reminders.

If you deny a required permission, some workflows may be blocked until the permission is enabled in your device settings.

Home

The Home screen is the main starting point for DSP work. It shows your current status, upcoming or active shifts, reminders, and shortcuts to common workflows.

Use Home to:

  • Start clock-in for a scheduled shift.
  • See whether you are clocked in.
  • Open active shift actions.
  • Jump to medications, tasks, notes, messages, mileage, and other assigned work.
  • Review alerts that need attention.

Schedule

The Schedule screen shows assigned shifts and shift details. Review the schedule before each shift so you know the client, location, service type, start time, and any shift notes.

Review Shift Details

  1. Open Schedule.
  2. Tap a shift.
  3. Review the client, service type, time, location, status, and notes.

  • Confirm event date, time, location, client context, and notes.
  • Plan around meetings or training that may affect your schedule.

If an expected event is missing, contact your supervisor.

Tasks and forms help ensure required support activities are completed and documented during the shift. The Tasks screen may include care plan tasks, assigned staff tasks, required custom forms, shift forms, and manually selected staff tasks.

Understand the Task Types

  • Care Tasks are client support activities tied to the client's care plan or shift. Examples include ADLs, IADLs, hygiene, exercise, social support, or other care plan items.
  • Assigned Staff Tasks are operational tasks assigned to you by a supervisor. Examples include QA checks, safety follow-ups, training reminders, documentation corrections, or delegated admin work.
  • Manual Staff Tasks are active staff task templates that you can choose yourself from the plus button when work needs to be completed even though it was not assigned in advance.
  • Required Forms are custom forms that must be completed for a shift, client, or task. Some forms may be required before clock-out.

Complete a Care Task

Shift Tasks From Previous or Scheduled Shifts

The Tasks screen may show shift tasks for recent or scheduled shifts, especially when documentation is still pending. Review the client, date, and time before completing anything so the documentation is connected to the correct shift.

Troubleshooting

I do not see my shift

Refresh the app and check the Schedule screen. If the shift is still missing, contact your supervisor.

I cannot clock in

Confirm the shift date and time, check required permissions, and make sure location services are enabled if required.

A medication, task, or form is missing

Confirm you selected the correct client and shift. If it is still missing, contact your supervisor before proceeding.

My mileage does not look correct

Review the date range, rate, distance, and status. Contact your supervisor if the reimbursement total appears incorrect.

I cannot submit an incident report

Make sure all required fields are complete. Required fields are marked with an asterisk.

I am offline or have poor signal

Move to a stronger connection when possible. If your organization supports offline workflows, confirm the data syncs after reconnecting.
